Gifford Foundation director retiring

Syracuse.com reported that The Gifford Foundation announced that Kathy Goldfarb-Findling, its executive director, will retire at the end of this year.

Goldfarb-Findling has been with the foundation since 1999, first as program director until she was appointed executive director in 2002. During her tenure the foundation focused its grantmaking on specific areas of investment, creating a model for long-term investments in neighborhood revitalization efforts and nonprofit capacity building.

The foundation’s board plans to establish a transition committee to help choose a successor.
